I am not a center where parents can come and go at will, I am a private home and I require at least 24 hours advance notice for 1st interviews. Once you are a signed client, YOU can come to check on your child anytime they are in my care without notifying me. You may call my cell, 479-684-7963, between 8am-8pm for more information about the childcare.
You will be asked to provide a daytime phone number so I can call to confirm your interview. If I am unable to reach you or you do not return the call to confirm, your interview will be cancelled. My time is just as important as yours and I expect that if you set an appointment to meet that you make every effort to keep the appointment or to at least call to cancel if you don't intend to interview.
I schedule "meet and greets" based on my availability, usually Tues, Wed or Thur evenings between 6-8pm; I do this so as to not disrupt the routine of children already in care and for their safety - they are priority, not chatting to you. 2nd visits will be held during childcare hours AFTER you have enrolled and a deposit has been placed.
I feel it is very important that I meet both parents (if applicable) and the baby (if arrived); If you show without your child for the 1st meeting, I will end the interview immediately... the whole point is to MEET EVERYONE; The relationship between parents, babies and their childcare providers is a very important one. Please be respectful and DO NOT BRING UNINVITED GUESTS TO MY HOME (this includes grandparents that are visiting at the last minute).
Please take the time to read the policies beforehand to see if this home is right for your family. Tir na nOg is not a good fit for everyone; I run a very small, family childcare. My illness policy is strict, I must stick to certain standards other daycare homes don't due to my Eco-healthy certifications and my holiday and vacation closures are sometimes a challenge for families, however, I take set breaks to avoid burning-out. I feel that what I offer far outweighs those things.
You will have 48 hours to return the registration packet along with your one week deposit. At that time, you must provide me with a start date. You may choose a start date up to 14 days from the date you pay your deposit unless the space being held is unavailable until a future date then that date will be considered as the start date.
If you do not return with the deposit and completed registration packet within 2 days, you could miss out on getting the open spot. I will continue to interview other families to fill the space. I no longer hold openings without a one week deposit. Too many families have said they want care, take a registration packet, and then I never hear from them again nor can I wait undetermined amounts of time for clients to decide either.
