Tir Na nOg Playcare is a premium in home daycare dedicated to taking care of our youngest children! Hello, My name is Elyse and I want to invite you to explore my unique childcare and everything it can offer you and your little one...

Services are set up so that your schedule can be accommodated without being locked into a full-time fee... I strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the knowledge that their children are in good hands no matter how many hours they must be away. There is lots of free play in which the infants are allowed to choose toys and activities that match up to their interest and age level. They are supervised on an ongoing basis. How infants spend free time will change as they grow into toddlers. The kids are exposed to classical, jazz, kiddie classics and many other kinds of music. They are also exposed to basic French (alphabet/songs /poems). Games, story time and learning activities are incorporated at certain times during the day. Most importantly, little ones are loved, hugged, comforted, and focused on the entire day!

My home is a place where they can feel safe and happy and can begin to build confidence and a positive self image. Older siblings are accepted for Date nights & weekend care

The Irish believe in a place called Tír na nÓg, a place where you never grow old. It means 'Land of the Young" in Gaelic. I named my childcare this because my home is the land of the young.

Now, I guess you're also wondering what I mean by "organic" daycare aren't you? One of the definitions of organic is "simple, healthful, and close to nature." This is what I strive for daily in my childcare and my home. I am proud to be the first and only daycare in the state to be endorsed by the Oregon Environmental Council as an Eco-Healthy Childcare. EHCC is an award winning national program that improves the environmental health of childcare facilities. I have a very simple program for my charges... these include music, reading, learning about nature, how to dress etc.

Lets face it, babies and toddlers don't need be in a formal school setting or a sterile daycare facility. I help kids foster creativity, independence of thought and action, a positive self-image, joy, and a spirit of service to others and to the world.
